SPRECHGESANG INSTITUTE,
2018-19

Sprechgesang Institute, under the direction of Sarah K. Williams, is a research institute that explores the gaps between genres. In 2018 and 2019, we made a series of events: a lecture that was really a performance (Extended Techniques), an exhibition that was really an essay (Asterisms), and a dinner that was really an exhibition (COURSES).

COURSES: An experimental dining event

COURSES was choreographed to a score on cello and kitchen instruments and progressed in 9 courses over 90 minutes.

COURSES, held at The Block Gallery, New York City, in July 2019, was co-curated by Sarah K. Williams and myself.
